At this point my girl had no name. Sometime in the years since I had completed the manuscript as "City Thoughts," an editor friend of mine had remarked that youngsters identify more readily with a character who has a name - even if it's only in the title of the book. So I had to find her a name. It took me about three weeks to settle on "Sara." And so the book began a new life as "Sara's City." |
